A resoling service at decathlon

The soles wear out quickly when climbing. For regular climbers, they generally last from 6 months to 1 year. It depends on lots of factors (type of rock or resin, climbing style, rectitude of routes, etc.). As soon as you see synthetic leather through the rubber, you should get the sole repaired. If you pierce the synthetic leather, resoling will be difficult. Our Decathlon workshops offer resoling services to extend the life of your shoes.

Shoe shape

Straight climbing shoe with flat profile.Provides comfort.

Sole

XS Grip material is designed and made by VIBRAM.It ensures excellent grip, no matter where you’re climbing.

Sizing recommendations

For beginner climbers, we recommend choosing the same size as your normal shoe size. They should feel tight without hurting. If you are a regular climber working to improve your skills, you can buy them tighter (1 size below normal, for example), but it's important they don't hurt, so that your foot can develop mobility, proprioception, and strength. You'll also enjoy climbing much more.

Care instructions

Our 1st tip is to never machine-wash your shoes. Thermal and mechanical stress could damage them. We recommend that you wash them by hand, either with a sponge soaked in clean water or with a sponge soaked in soapy water (Marseilles soap), being sure to air-dry them at a stable temperate and avoid drying them on a radiator or in direct sunlight. We recommend washing them regularly to increase the life span of the shoes.

Just great value for starting out

I started climbing just over a year ago and got these early on. They've done me great, I'm climbing at V5 now. A lot of people can't believe I can climb at that level with such a cheap pair. So basically, if you can't climb well in them, it's probably not the shoe. It might be the fit, but most likely you just need to practise and get some advice on technique ;) Mine are definitely a bit loose now for some of the stuff I try to do, but I didn't know about sizing down when I got them. I'm a size 10.5 in normal shoes and I bought an 11 in these, because it was more comfortable to begin with. But I didn't know that climbing shoes stretch! Now I'm trying to decide between an expensive pair OR buying these again in a smaller size. Such a hard decision, as I've come so far in them!

It hurts the ball of my foot to step on small footholds due to the lack of downturn. I’d recommend it as a warm up/endurance training shoe or intro shoe for beginners.

Great shoe,wacky colour 😂

Loved these shoes,fit perfectly,grips great,durable, technical and good value.Shame it doesn't come in black/gray/navy.
