Baby's skin is very sensitive to the sun, because infants' defence systems only become effective after the age of 3. For identical exposure, the effects of the sun are 2 to 3 times stronger on a child than on an adult. It is therefore important to protect them effectively.
What does upf 50+ mean?
UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and is standardised worldwide.It defines the protection level of a fabric and more precisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through.To meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.

Excellent product, great value
Zamówiony przez internet kombinezon dostarczony eskpresowo, nie mam zastrzeżeń co do jakości (fajne zapinanie góry na karku a dołu - całe nogawki i krok w napach). Towar musiałam jednak oddać, bo raczej szyte to było na jakieś niesamowite chude dzieci, a zważywszy że - zgodnie z tym co mowią dołączone instrukcje - ochrona UV maleje jeśli materiał jest rozciągnięty, to raczej nie będę upychać mojego synka w ciasny wąski kombinezon, chociaż bynajmniej nie jest pulchny... szkoda bo wzór jest śliczny, i teoretycznie rozmiar jest dobry a nawet ciut duży - tyle że na szczypiorka :)
