Sizing recommendations

If you are a climber working to improve your skills, you can buy them tighter (1/2 -1 size below normal, for example), but it's important they don't hurt, so that your foot can develop mobility, proprioception, and strength. If you are an advanced climber, we suggest you take the time to try different sizes (1 to 2 sizes below normal) to find the best compromise between comfort and compression for more force when pushing off.

Care instructions

Our 1st tip is to never machine-wash your shoes. Thermal and mechanical stress could damage them. We recommend that you wash them by hand, either with a sponge soaked in clean water or with a sponge soaked in soapy water (Marseille soap), being sure to air-dry them at a stable temperate and avoid drying them on a radiator or in direct sunlight. We recommend washing them regularly to increase the life span of the shoes.

Resoling tips

Did you know? The better a rubber’s grip, the more it wears out, especially in indoor climbing. This is why we have chosen to work with a specialist recognised in the market since 1937, Vibram, and have carefully selected the rubber offering the best balance between robustness and grip. Our tests show that on average, rubber wears away in 6 months, on the front and/or top of the shoes. This can be even quicker, depending on how you place your feet."

Good climbing shoes

Good climbing shoes, I’m just starting out and these made a huge improvement from rented shoes. They took some breaking in but I’m happy with my purchase would recommend to beginners and intermediate climbers.

Brilliant pair of first time climbing shoes!

Firstly, I want to start by acknowledging that the reviews on here are quite misleading - so you’re probably reading this after a hard time of sifting through a lot of ambiguity. So I’ll do you a favour and try and keep this to the point. I’m going to cut to the chase and say I think these are a great pair of climbing shoes. Are they the best out there? No. Could they be better? Absolutely. Should you get these if you’re an experienced, well versed climber looking to accomplish more challenging climbs? No - go for something more expensive which will give you better quality. However, if you’re a beginner climber, who’s looking to expand into the hobby, like I was when I purchased these shoes (nearly a year ago now and they are still going strong), these will be absolutely perfect for you. They get the job done and are a damn sight better and more comfortable than the rentals you’ll find at climbing centres. Additionally, they are good value for money and it really works out if you plan to climb regularly. Obviously after a year of frequent bouldering, there has been wear and tear, but these have served me well. Even after pushing them further than they’re designed to go in terms of climbing intensity, the shape still holds well and they still feel good and maintain their grip. I have enjoyed them throughly and I’ll definitely miss them when I upgrade to a more expensive pair, but I would definitely recommend these if you are new to the sport and just want a decent pair of shoes for a good price. All in all, they are great pair of shoes and work well for beginners, but maybe look at something more expensive if you’re experienced and looking to push yourself.

Good value, but lose shape and become soft

I wear an 8.5 street size and bought these in an 8 as an upgrade on the rock+ shoes. originally they gave me more precision and i could stand on little edges and chips but they have since gone quite soft and lost downturn. now they are good for smearing on grit and volumes in gym, but i need some stiffer shoes so i don’t break my toes on little edges. also they lost their shape and downturn very quickly.
