Snorkelling safety

Snorkelling is an easy and fun activity for all the family! Breathing through a snorkel is more physically demanding than regular swimming. If you feel tired, short of breath or dizzy, remove your mask and snorkel and get out of the water. The use of this product is not recommended if you have cardiovascular problems (chest infection, angina, asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc.). Consult your doctor if you have any doubts

How to choose the right mask size

You need to position your mask on your face without the strap, and press with your hands to make sure it’s firmly in place, blocking your breath. If the mask "suctions” properly, and stays stuck to your face, it’s perfect and means that it is your size and will be watertight. If it unsticks and falls off, that means that air is getting through, and so water will get in, so you’ll need to try another size or another mask.

Avoid the appearance of mist in your mask

New mask: Wash your mask with washing-up liquid and warm water, using your fingers, to remove any grease. Do not use a sponge. Before each use, spit into your mask and wipe the lens with your fingers to rinse the mask.Dampen your face with the water to limit heat loss between the skin and the lens of your mask, as this will reduce mist.Use an anti-fogging spray to completely eliminate mist.

Silicone

Silicone is an extremely flexible material. A silicone skirt conforms gently to the contours of the face, creating a watertight seal.

Polycarbonate lens

The polycarbonate glass is shatterproof. But it is prone to scratching.

Accreditation

Mask certified compliant with safety requirements according to European EN 16805:2015 standards. Certified by the INPP (French professional diving institute).

Dimensions (size m)

The dimensions of the mask are width 18 cm, height 11 cm, and thickness of 8 cm.

Mask not fit for purpose due to rfid sticker

I bought two of these masks for my partner and I. Both had rfid stickers right on the front. The adhesive is not removable and both masks are now not fit for purpose. They have a huge gum mark over one side. My attempts to remove one of the stickers has scratched the surface of the mask and even if the gum is now removed the mask is still ruined. What’s especially galling is that the paper tag for the mask features a space for the rfid sticker! So why were they stuck to the front of the masks??? I came on here and am flabbergasted this problem was flagged up by customers as long ago as last summer. I now have to go back to the store but am not holding out much hope of getting replacements. What’s more, these plastic masks are now only fit for landfill - how many thousand are there ruined before they’re even used in this pointless way? - it’s criminal.

Excellent Snorkel for a small 5 year old

Snorkeling in the Red Sea, our wee toot was well equipped to witness the wonders of the coral reefs and the thousands of fish and other marine life. Agamble that paid off handsomely.
