The fresh & black technology keeps the inside of your tent cooler and darker

Cooler and darker for better sleep!Fresh & Black is a technology patented by Decathlon that allows us to reflect the sun's rays and insulate from the light thanks to specific materials. This reduces the sensation of heat in the tent and makes it darker. To get the most out of this technology, don't forget to ventilate your tent at night!

Sun protection

Our Fresh&Black technology relies on a UPF 50+ sun protection fabric.Caution: be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.

Ventilation

The ventilated flysheet on the living room enables air to circulate and reduces condensation inside your tent. There is an upper air vent outside the two rear bedrooms. Inside, there is a lower air vent. The last bedroom is ideally positioned for air flow. The bedrooms have mosquito nets at the top of the doors and at the base. The living area has two mosquito nets, one at the top of the door and the other on the wall.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.Well pitched with the guy ropes properly anchored, this tent remains habitable in a force 7 wind, measured at 60 km/h.Feel free to re-inflate your inflatable poles regularly during your stay at the campsite (7 Psi).

Waterproofing

We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This tent is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams taped using heat-sealed strips and a 190 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet.

Repair

As designers and practitioners who love our playground, we care about the durability of our products. That's why all our tents are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and repairs for inflatable hoops are available at the workshop of your Decathlon store or on our website.

Poles and tent pegs

Inflatable poles - All our inflatable poles have a two-layer arch structure: a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) air chamber and a 600-denier polyester cover*.Living room reinforcement - There's an aluminium bar in the living room to stiffen the structure.Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.4 ground pegs are included.*600 denier indicates a weight of 600 g for 9 m length.

Maintenance advice

Our camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability of your tent, it's important to store it when not in use.

Our commitment to using less water with this product (ref: 8584571)

We have improved this product with an eco-design approach to dyeing materials using the “dope dyed” technique.Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce our environmental impact, we use a mass pigmentation process that involves adding the colour pigments when the yarn itself is produced.

Small bedroom size and top vent.

For the past 2 summers, I have use this tent , and last summer I bought this inflatable mattress a bit bigger size than previous so got a bit tight and as I slept on the other side opposite to zip and I fill strangled, the next day night I took the mattress out and didn't use it again, and also I got a heavy rain and it did water leaking from the space is at the top, airer or vent?, is there any just bedroom to attached it to this one, to make 3 bedrooms?...

First Use

We found the seperate pod was a bit on the small side, design flaw was the vent along the bottom let too much wind in, the groundsheet really needed to be an all in one sewn in, the vents in the roof will be great for summer but NOT when its cold and windy, too much air came in. the doors need to be a fully zipped style, again falpping around in the breeze and we even had wildlife crawl up and under the fly into the main living area, dont open the side panels without the fly mesh, we had mosquitoes come in through there into the living area, they came up under the fly where it wasnt sewn in too

Great tent, aweful bag

The tent itself is really great. We are a family of four and our young children enjoy helping make the tent up with us. As a family we have an issue with the bag the tent comes with and must be transported in. The straps are appalling given the tent is circa 25kg with no handles on the ends. The tent is too heavy for 2 people to carry in the bag provided and wheels should be added to the bottom along with reinforcement on the handles and underside and additional handles to grab hold onto. I have seen this on competitor tent bags. A great tent let down by a poor bag.
