How is an orienteering sock created?
A real running sock made with special \'Friction Free\' thread at the ball of the foot and the heel, reducing the risk of blisters. The upper part of the sock is comfortable and resistant with 4-thread weave over the tibia. The sock has extra hold under the knee to avoid it slipping down.

These are really good for orienteering with a thicker weave at the front and good moisture management. Wouldn’t cope with gorse or thorns but used under the tights are excellent and I use them for training runs and are extremely comfortable
Quite breathable with a bit of extra shin protection...and surprisingly comfortable, coming from somebody with a Jack Grealish like aversion to long socks!
Bought these a few weeks ago for mountain biking protection. Great price, great fit and very comfortable. Well designed front panel for extra protection, cool enough in recent warm weather.
