Description
We make sure our products are durable through rigorous testing. We check the resistance of: - the fabric to pilling; - the colours to washing; - the fabric to repeated washing; - the fabric to abrasion and rubbing with a Martindale test.
It is inevitable that you will sweat when hiking, even in cold weather. To avoid feeling like you’re in a sauna, we have opted for a breathable fabric that wicks away perspiration. The full-length zip enables you to open the jacket for extra ventilation.
This fleece jacket is available in a range of sizes, from XS to 2 XL.
It's slim-fitting, but doesn't sit too close to the body, so we recommend that you wear a technical base layer underneath this fleece jacket. That way, you’ll be better protected from the cold. It is also designed to be worn underneath our windproof/waterproof jackets. Pick your usual size.
The fleece component is designed to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture (known as “brushed fleece” when lots of tiny loops are knit into the fabric). this air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm.
This fleece jacket can be machine washed at 40°C. Turn it inside out before putting it in the machine. Remember to close the zips. Choose a synthetic cycle and set the spin speed to a maximum of 1,000 rpm. Do not tumble dry.
We carry out 2 types of thermal testing: fleece material and thermal mannequin in a thermal chamber. These tests reproduce the mountain conditions (wind, humidity, temperature) that you might encounter. They allow us to validate our design and adjust the thermal insulation.
This fleece jacket has been designed and tested to be worn in cold temperatures of between 7 and 10°C without another jacket on top.
At just 270g in size M, this jacket does not weigh your bag down! It is made from thin microfleece, and so it doesn't take up much space either. You will also love its two zip pockets for keeping your personal belongings safe.
