Position your bike so that it is stable and at the correct height, as if on a bike stand.Using a pedal wrench (ref:8938257), remove your pedals.Please note that the left pedal is unscrewed clockwise and the right pedal is unscrewed anticlockwise.
Each pair includes a left pedal (marked with an L or a mark) and a right pedal (marked with an R or no mark).If in doubt, check the packaging.Apply grease (Ref:8874174) to the pedal thread to prevent seizing.Use a pedal wrench to screw in: Right Pedal (R): Screw clockwise. Left pedal (L):Screw anticlockwise.
Avoid pushing through your heel or arch as you pedal as this can lead to pain and fatigue over time. In the interests of comfort and for efficient pedalling, your foot should be positioned such that the ball of your foot is just above the pedal's spindle.If you need help getting the right position, cleats can help.
